UK Charts: Ponowna dominacja Davida Bowie’go w zestawieniu albumów; Shawn Mendes detronizuje Justina Biebera z pierwszego miejsca najlepszych singli

Śmierć Davida Bowie’go nadal ma niewątpliwy wpływ na ogólną sprzedaż, co w konsekwencji również oddziałuje na co tygodniowe zestawienie. Tak też jest i tym razem. W notowaniu singli zaś dzieje się coraz więcej. Justin Bieber został zdetronizowany przez swojego rodaka.

UK ALBUMS CHART

Po raz drugi z rzędu najnowsze dzieło Davida Bowie’go – Blackstar znalazło się na pierwszym miejscu zestawienia najlepszych albumów. Na drugie miejsce powróciła Adele ze swoim trzecim albumem 25. Podium zamyka Best of Bowie, które awansowało z miejsca osiemnastego.

Na liście pojawiło się kilka nowości. Mowa tu o płycie Death Of a Bachelor od Panic! At the Disco, która debiutowała na miejscu 4 będąc tym samym trzecim krążkiem grupy, który zadebiutował w TOP10. Oprócz tego w zestawieniu po raz pierwszy pojawiło się wydawnictwo Not To Disapear od Daughter na pozycji 17. oraz White Bear autorstwa Temperance Movement na pozycji 18.

UK SINGLES CHART

No i stało się. Stitches autorstwa Shawna Mendesa zdetronizowało Love Yourself Justina Biebera. Zacięta walka trwała do końca. Stitches, bowiem sprzedało się w nakładzie tylko o 1,500 kopii większym niż dotychczasowy numer jeden zestawienia. Warto zaznaczyć, że dotarcie Mendesa na szczyt notowania trwało aż 17 tygodni. Miejsce trzecie pozostało bez zmian. Niezmiennie okupuje je kompozycja Sorry od Justina Biebera.

Na liście w TOP20 pojawiła się nowość. Na miejscu 15. możemy zauważyć brytyjską grupę The 1975 z ich najświeższą kompozycją zatytułowaną The Sound. Duży skok zanotował utwór Girl Is Mine (Destiny’s Child & Brandy) autorstwa 99 Clouds z pozycji 9 przesunął się na pozycję 5. Jeśli chodzi o dalsze awanse: Major Lazer w kolaboracji z Nyla wskoczyli o trzy oczka wyżej (z 13 na 10), a duet Little Mix z Jasonem Derulo zaliczył wzrost o osiemnaście pozycji z 34 miejsca na miejsce 16.
