Stało się. Justin Bieber pokonał Adele w walce o najpopularniejszy singiel w Stanach Zjednoczonych. Brytyjka wciąż jednak rządzi na liście najpopularniejszych albumów, choć i tu jest to jej ostatni tydzień (na tę chwilę).

Na liście najpopularniejszych albumów w Stanach Zjednoczonych wciąż Adele. 25 w minionym tygodniu rozeszło się w ilości 164 tys. kopii, a wraz ze streamingiem i sprzedażą singli suma unitów wyniosła 194 tysiące. Drugie miejsce to Justin Bieber, który sprzedał 54 tys. albumów, choć jego ostateczny wynik jest ponad dwukrotnie większy (właśnie dzięki streamingowi i singlom).

Na liście tylko jeden debiut – jest to Wildfire Rachel Platten. Krążek zakupiono 29 tys. razy, a z SEA i TEA suma wyniosła 45 tys. co pozwoliło na zajęcie miejsca piątego. Listę dopełniają Twenty One Pilots, The Weeknd, One Direction, Chris Stapleton, Fetty Wap i Taylor Swift, których w TOP 10 widzieliśmy również w poprzednim tygodniu. Wzrost popularności – i awans do TOP 10 – zanotował natomiast Bryson Tiller.

Pierwszy raz od siedmiu tygodniu za tydzień na liście dojdzie do zmiany. Miejsce Adele zajmie David Bowie, którego albumy notują ogromne wzrosty zainteresowania. Miejsce pierwsze obejmie krążek Blackstar wydany dwa dni przed śmiercią muzyka (wcześniej prognozowano, że Blackstar zajmie miejsce trzecie na tej liście). Będzie to pierwszy album numer jeden Bowie’ego na liście Billboard 200.

Dominacja Adele trwała dziesięć tygodni. Teraz, Sorry Justina Biebera, które spędziło osiem tygodni na miejscu drugim, w końcu awansuje na miejsce pierwsze. Różnica między tymi utworami to około 2-3% Billboardowych punktów, więc walka była zacięta.
