UK Charts: Coldplay otrzymuje swój upragniony szczyt albumowy, a Lukas Graham strąca z #1 miejsca Zayna

Ten tydzień był dość ciekawy dla fanów muzyki. Wszystkie najbardziej liczące się obecnie gwiazdy postanowiły przypomnieć o swoim istnieniu. Niezależnie jednak od premier i tak o wszystkim decydują konsumenci… Zobaczcie więc najnowsze notowanie UK Charts.

UK ALBUMS CHART

Jak co roku efekt Super Bowl jest odczuwalny. To właśnie dzięki temu wydarzeniu sportowemu, a właściwie tym mniej sportowym, zwanym Half Time Show główne gwiazdy czerpią z tego wymierne korzyści. W tym roku to kwestia dyskusyjna, gdyż zdaniem wielu komentatorów Coldplay został przyćmiony przez Beyonce i Bruno Marsa. Jednak, by tradycji stało się zadość to Brytyjczycy mają powody do radości, bo ich najnowsze wydawnictwo zdobywa szczyt zestawienia. A Head Full Of Dreams jest już ich siódmym albumem, który może pochwalić się numerem #1 w historii UK Charts.

Tuż za headlinerami tegorocznego Half Time Show uplasowała się Adele ze swoim 25 oraz składanka największych hitów od Davida Bowiego, która w poprzednim tygodniu była najchętniej kupowanym albumem w Wielkiej Brytanii.

W pierwszej dwudziestce mamy także kilka nowości. Najwyżej notowaną świeżynką jest Wonderful Crazy Night Eltona Johna – miejsce #6. To już 31. raz, kiedy jego album może pochwalić się miejscem w TOP10. Trochę gorzej poradziła sobie druga płyta studyjna od Foxes – jej All I Need pojawia się na miejscu #12. Pod koniec TOP20 znalazło się jeszcze miejsce dla najnowszego, siódmego już dzieła weteranów rocka. Hidden City od The Cult debiutuje na miejscu #19.

UK SINGLES CHART

Na liście singli sensacja, chociaż prędzej czy później tryumfu duńskiej grupy Lukas Graham można było się spodziewać. Ich najpopularniejszy obecnie numer, 7 Years po trzech tygodniach wspinania się po UK Singles Chart ostatecznie zdobywa szczyt zestawienia, uzyskując jednocześnie Srebrny certyfikat za sprzedaż ponad 200 tys. kopii, z czego nieco ponad połowa pochodzi z tego tygodnia (105 tys. w tym 3,65 mln ze streamingu). Warto odnotować, że to pierwszy artysta z tego kraju, który w ciągu 64-letniej historii UK Charts osiąga #1. Tym samym Zayn z PILLOWTALK musiał uznać wyższość tego zespołu. Na jak długo? Czas pokaże. Podium zamyka Fast Car od Jonasa Blue & Dakoty, które również musiało przesunąć się o „oczko” w dół.

Takie przesunięcia o jeden bądź dwa oczka w dół (w niektórych wypadkach o większą ilość) dominują wręcz TOP20. Są jednak też Ci, którzy zyskują. Oprócz oczywistych korzyści singli Coldplaya (Adventure Of A Lifetime z #18 na #11, Hymn For The Weekend z #60 na #23) sukces osiągnął również girlsband Little Mix i Secret Love Song z gościnnym udziałem Jasona Derulo (awans z #11 na #7). Wspomniany Amerykanin również solo radzi sobie dobrze (Get Ugly z #17 na #12). Do tej listy śmiało można dopisać jeszcze Zarę Larsson (Lush Life z #19 na #16) oraz Ellie Goulding (jej Army poszybowało o 8 oczek).
