UK Charts: Drake znów niepokonany z singlem „One Dance”, Blink-182 notuje swój pierwszy album na szczycie listy

Kto liczył na to, że w tym tygodniu cudowną passę Drake’a przełamie numer „This Girl” od Kungs vs Cookin’ On 3 Burners, musi być obecnie rozczarowanym. „One Dance” już po raz trzynasty (!) pojawia się na szczycie singlowego UK Charts. Najchętniej kupowanym albumem w ciągu ostatnich 7 dni był „California” od chłopaków z Blink-182.

UK ALBUMS CHART

Nie ukrywajmy, że wkraczamy właśnie w najnudniejszy okres notowań UK Charts. Mała ilość premier albumów sprawia, że TOP 20 jest bardziej przewidywalne. Próbkę tego mieliśmy już w zeszłym tygodniu, kiedy to na chwilę szczyt (po raz trzynasty w ogóle) wróciła Adele z trzecim studyjnym albumem 25. Zdarza się jednak, że Brytyjczycy wyczekują na jakąś premierę. I tak oto mamy nowego lidera listy: na szczyt dostaje się najnowszy krążek od punk-rockowego tria Blink-182. California (24 000 chart sales) jest siódmym albumem zespołu i jednocześnie ich pierwszym, który pojawił się od razu na #1 w tygodniu premiery. Do tej pory najwyżej notowanym wydawnictwem formacji było Take Off Your Pants And Jacket (miejsce #4, 2001 rok).

Wspomniana wcześniej Adele utrzymuje się na podium, zajmując #2. TOP 3 zamyka jednak zeszłotygodniowy #2, czyli A Head Full Of Dreams od Coldplay. Awans o oczko notuje Beyonce z krążkiem Lemonade. To efekt trwającej właśnie trasy koncertowej artystki, z którą zagościła na terenie Wielkiej Brytanii. Na #5 zaś pojawia się składanka Electric Light Orchestra – All Over The World – The Very Best Of. Wydawnictwo to sprzedało się już w milionowym nakładzie.

Do pierwszej dwudziestki powracają albumy Davida Bowiego, Eda Sheerana oraz twenty one pilots. Prócz wspomnianego Blink-182 po raz pierwszy na UK Charts pojawiają się krążki od Bat For Lashes (The Bride na #9) oraz formacji Metronomy (Summer 08 na #20).

Co za historia! Wydawałoby się, że tym razem utwór This Girl pojawi się na szczycie UK Singles Chart. Nic z tego – mimo, że to właśnie numer od Kungs vs Cookin’ On 3 Burners był tym z największą tygodniową sprzedażą to już po raz czwarty z rzędu zajmuje #2. No i po raz czwarty z rzędu musi uznać wyższość Drake’a. One Dance wciąż jest najchętniej streamowanym utworem w sieci i nieprzerwanie od trzynastu tygodni (!) zajmuje szczyt zestawienia. Daleko mu jeszcze do takich utworów jak Love Is All Around Wet Wet Wet (15 tygodni) oraz (Everything I Do) I Do It For You Bryana Adamsa (16 tygodni), lecz wszystko przed nim.

Podium również zamyka przebywający od dwóch tygodni na #3 utwór Drake’a Too Good, nagrany przy współudziale Rihanny. Barbadoska pojawia się też oczko niżej za sprawą szkockiego DJa Calvina Harrisa i ich wspólnego dzieła This Is What You Came For. Jedyne co zmienia się w TOP 5 jest… #5 miejsce – na nim pojawia się Adele z utworem Send My Love (To Your New Lover), zamieniając się miejscami z Justinem Timberlake’m i jego Can’t Stop The Feeling nagranym na potrzeby animacji Trolls. Don’t Let Me Down od Chainsmokers kontynuuje wspinaczkę i już pojawia się w pierwszej dziesiątce (w tym tygodniu na #7).
