- Tomasz Ochota: Jak wiemy czas pandemii to bardzo trudny czas dla nas wszystkich. Niektórzy artyści skarżą się, że nie mogą grać koncertów i spotykać swoich fanów co powoduje u nich zaniki weny twórczej. Są także i tacy, którym ten czas pomaga na skupieniu się na pracy i owocuje to nowym materiałem artystycznym. Powiedz mi, z którą grupą się bardziej utożsamiasz?
Czas pandemii pomógł mi skupić się na wielu nowych rzeczach, na które nie miałbym czasu podczas trasy koncertowej. Częściej przychodziły mi pomysły na przyszłe produkcje, odświeżyłem studio nagraniowe i poświęcałem więcej czasu na drobne szczegóły, którymi nigdy wcześniej nie miałem czasu się zająć.
- Czy podczas pandemii zrobiłeś coś na co wcześniej brakowało Ci czasu? Co to było i czy jesteś z tego dumny?
Podczas lockdownu miałem więcej czasu na gotowanie, dzięki czemu spożywałęm zdrowsze posiłki. Jestem weganem, więc w restauracjach jest mi trudniej znaleźć jedzenia, na które mam ochotę. poświęciłem też czas ma ćwiczenia jogi.
Z pewnością czas pandemii to był moment, w którym doszlifowałeś swój najnowszy utwór, który wyszedł 8 maja. ,,Forever Summer” ma predyspozycje do zostania hitem tegorocznego lata. O jakich wakacjach marzysz?
Marzę o wakacjach w tropikalnym kraju, najlepiej na jakiejś wyspie i odkrywaniu nowych, nieznanych miejsc łodzią. Chciałbym zobaczyć zwierzęta, których jeszcze nie widziałem.
Jakie przesłanie oprócz tego, aby tańczyć i śpiewać ten utwór za każdym razem, gdy się go słyszy, ma Forever Summer?
Lato dla większości ludzi oznacza szczęście, radość i relaks. To uczucia, które powinny trwać cały rok. To jest główne przesłanie „Forever Summer”.
Piosenka Forever Summer idealnie pasuje na imprezy. Jak wspominasz swój najlepszy koncert? Gdzie był ten koncert i co było w nim wyjątkowego?
Każdy mój występ miał w sobie coś wyjątkowego, ale jednym z moich ulubionych były kluby Energy 2000 w Polsce i Jaas Festival w Niemczech. Ludzie jak i miejsce miały niesamowitą energię.
W swoim dorobku masz mnóstwo utworów powstałych współpracy z innymi artystami. Z jakimi jeszcze marzy Ci się nagrać piosenkę?
Marzę o nagraniu piosenki z Sią. Uważam, że jest niesamowitą wokalistką i autorką tekstów.
Myślę, o dzisiejszej modzie wśród DJ i producentów muzycznych na odświeżanie starych kawałków. Co jest w tym takiego szczególnego?
Szczególną cechą odświeżania starych piosenek jest obserwowanie, jak zmieniają się one z pokolenia na pokolenie. Po reakcji fanów widać, że te piosenki są ponadczasowe. Ponadto nowe wersje umożliwiają DJom granie tych utworów w klubach i na festiwalach.

As we know, the time of the pandemic is a very difficult for everyone. Some artists complain that they cannot play concerts and meet their fans, which causes them to lose their creative activity. There are also those for whom this time helps to focus on work, which results in new artistic material. Tell me which group do you identify with?
The time of the pandemic helped me focus on a lot of new things that I wouldn’t have time to do on the road. Creating new ideas more frequently for future productions, updating everything in my studio and taking more time for little details I never had time to take care of before.
During the lockdown, did you do something that you previously lacked time to do? What was that and are you proud of it?
During lockdown I had more time to cook which resulted in much healthier meals. I am vegan so it’s not so easy to always find what I want to eat in restaurants. I’ve also been doing a lot of yoga and taking more time to exercise, so at the moment I’m feeling quite refreshed.
Obviously, during this time you polished your latest song, Forever Summer, which was released on 8th May. What kind of holiday do you dream about?
I dream of having a holiday in a tropical country, preferably on an island and discovering new untouched places by boat and seeing animals that I have never seen before.
Apart from dancing and singing this song every time you hear it, what message does Forever Summer have?
Summer for most people represents happiness, joy and relaxation so the main message in “Forever Summer” is we can always try to have those sunny, happy feelings throughout the whole year and not only in the summer.
The song Forever Summer is perfect for parties. How do you remember your best concert? Where was it and what was so special about it?
Every show I did had something special about it, but one of my favourites was the Energy 2000 clubs in Poland and the Jaas Festival in Germany. The crowds had great energy, thevenues were amazing and we all had an unforgettable night.
Among your artistic achievementsIn you have a lot of tracks created in cooperation with other artists. Which artists do you dream of recording a song with?
I dream of recording a song with Sia. I think she’s an amazing singer and songwriter.
I think about the trend among DJs and music producers to refreshing old songs. What’s so special about it?
The special thing about refreshing old songs is seeing how they cross different generations. You can tell by the fan reaction that those songs are timeless. Also, new versions make it possible for DJs to play those songs in clubs and at festivals.
